BT Apex2 3 in 1 Paintball Barrels are in Stock!

BT Apex2 3 in 1 Barrels are in stock!  The Apex 2 '3 and 1' features 3 separate barrel threads to accommodate the A5, 98 and Spyder paintball guns.  The Apex 2 has been redesigned for a sleeker look with a tool-less breakdown and assembly.  Adjust the integrated slider to increase or decrease the amount of spin on the ball.  This varies the amount of flight path curve allowing you to hit targets behind bunkers, trees and other places of cover.

The BT Apex 2 3-in-1 barrel includes three barrel threads.  Adding one of the included adapters with covert the barrel to a different thread.  The Apex 2 with no adapter includes a Spyder thread, used on all Spyders and Spyder Clone markers.  Add the first adapter and covert the barrel to an A5 thread.  This barrel thread is for all new and old A5 markers as well as all X7 guns including the Phenom.  Adding the remaining adapter converts the system to a 98 thread.  The Tippmann 98 thread is used on all new and old 98 Custom guns as well as all US Army paintball markers.

BT Apex 2 3 in 1 Barrel

If you want the flexibility of the BT Apex 2 but don't want to purchase separate barrels for your Spyder, A5 or 98 markers, the 3-in-1 barrel is the answer.  The Apex 2 Tip is the exact same tip used on all current 14" and 18" Apex 2 systems and is directly responsible for some crazy trick-shot shooting.

Tippmann Connex Coil Remote Line

Tippmann has released an upgraded version of the standard paintball coil remote line.  The Tippmann Connex Remote is an all in one solution for the player looking to disconnect at the gun while under pressure.  The Connex checks the air similar to a slide check fitting.  This is all accomplished via the Connex fitting.  It stops the air under pressure, quick releases from the marker and also degasses the gun.

Tippmann Connex Remote Line

The Tippmann Connex remote line is rated for use with both CO2 or Nitrogen (Compressed Air).  Use it with your Tippmann A5 running on CO2 or a Phenom using a 68/4500 Nitrogen tank.  The remote line allows you to lighten the load attached to the gun.  Relocate the tank to a vest or harness and increase your reaction time by swinging a much lighter weapon.

The Tippmann Connex Remote runs for $39.95 and is currently available through ROCKSTAR Tactical System.  Use it with one of the many 4+1 or 6+1 harnesses or a fully equipped Tactical Vest System.  Try running a remote once and your never go back to a tank mounted set-up again.

BT Apex 2 Barrel: Stock Update

BT Apex 2 Barrels (A5 and the 98) have been out of stock for a few weeks now.  We received an update from BT that more barrels are on the way!  The next shipment of A5 and 98 Apex 2 barrels should be in during the last week of June.  This means we should have them available once again on the website during the end of June or very early July.  If you would like an automated email notification regarding availability, just visit the product page of the specific model Apex 2 that you're interested in.  Under the 'Add Wish List' button, there is a link that says 'Email me when Back-In-Stock'.  Simply add your email address to the field on the next page.  You can also click the box to sign-up for a newsletter as well.  Our email newsletters are published a few times a month and include current deals and new product releases.

The Apex 2 Paintball Barrel is wildly popular among woodsball and scenario players for a number of reasons.  Lets take a closer look as the Apex 2 and see how it works and why so many depend on it as their barrel of choice in the field.

How the Apex 2 Barrel Works - The BT Apex 2 has a front tip that resembles a suppressor or silencer.  This front tip is the brains of the operation and solely responsible for the Apex's unique performance.  If you remove the outer sleeve you'll find a plastic frame.  This frame houses a rubber insert.  The rubber insert is designed in such as way that is imparts a spin on the paintball as the ball travels past it.  On the outer surface of the Apex 2's sleeve is a slider mechanism.  This mechanism moves forward and back to adjust the positioning of the inner rubber insert.  Move the slider forward and the rubber insert moves towards to the center of the barrel.  Slide it to the rear of the barrel (gun side) and the rubber insert moves along the wall of the barrel back to its normal positioning.  The distance forward that you move the slider influences the positioning of the inner rubber insert which creates more and more spin on a paintball as it is shoot through the barrel past the insert.  This spin allows the paintball to do some crazy things.  You can swoop shots around bunkers and trees and even nosedrive down to hit players hiding behind longer structures.  The
BT Apex Tip is also designed in such a way that it allows players to adjust the positioning to the left or right.  Simply turn the tip left or right to create a curved shot in that direction then adjust the slider to vary the degree of the curve.

Apex 2 Ready Barrels - The Apex 2 barrel has become so popular that many barrel manufacturers have released 'Apex Ready' barrels that allow you to remove the Apex Tip from the factory barrel and install it on a upgraded unit.  The Apex Ready Barrels are specially milled at that end to accept the Apex Tip.  Other manufacturers of barrels that use screw-on muzzle breaks and tips, also make a screw-on Apex adapter that converts the barrel to accept the Apex Tip.  Popular Apex Ready barrel manufacturers include Lapco Paintball and Trinity.

Thanks to all for their patience on the long awaited arrival on the Apex 2 barrels.  We are on order for them with BT and will one of the first dealers to receive new units.  Stop by the site today and request an automated in-stock notification.  We'll email you and let you know the exact moment that Apex 2 Barrels are available once again.

2011 Tippmann A5 Magazine Kits

Confused about what aftermarket mag kits will work on your newly designed 2011 Tippmann A5?  Don't be.. ROCKSTAR Tactical has a growing line of A5 magazines to fit the new version A5. These mag kits have been given their own category. The 2011 Tippmann A5 Mags category houses a number of different aftermarket options including units from both Lapco and RAP4.

The Lapco M4 and MP5 magazines have been out for sometime and have been a long time favorite among A5 owners looking for a lightweight mag with killer styling.  The latest version (2011) A5 has a thicker trigger frame and slightly different receiver design, making previous A5 mag kits non-compatible.  Now, both of the Lapco M4 and MP5 mags are currently available in a version compatible with the new Tippmann A5.  RAP4 has also added to the mix a few new options for Tippmann A5 owners.  The RAP4 mags are now available in a different styles including: K36, Socom, M16 and AK.  Choose the style mag that will complete the look you are going for and have at it!

Stop by the website regularly and visit the
Tippmann A5 Mods category.  We'll be adding new upgrades in the coming weeks including additional options specifically made for 2011 A5 markers.
