Tippmann Platinum Series Flatline Barrel

We've had the Tippmann Platinum Series Flatline Barrels in for a few months now and we'll stock them until the end of time! This barrel is a refreshing change from Tippmann's older 98 version with the extended top receiver cover. We decided to create a post to answer some of the common questions asked regarding Tippmann's New Platinum Series Flatline for the 98 style marker.

Will the Platinum Flatline Barrel fit my 98?
Yes, the barrel was designed to fit any 98 Custom, 98 Custom Pro, 98 Custom Platinum, 98 Custom Pro Platinum. It basically fits any version 98 that uses the most current thick Tippmann 98 thread.

How does the barrel attach?
The barrel attaches like any other barrel. It's only attachment point is by the threads that screw into the marker.

How long is the Platinum Flatline?
It's 12" long.

Does it work the same as the A5 Flatline Barrel?
Yes, it works exactly the same. It has the same curved design, therefore you get the same extended distance and improved accuracy. Tippman says it will increase your range 100ft over stock.

What paint is recommended for use in the Platinum Flatline?
Tippmann suggests using Marballizer Paintballs in all their Flatline barrels.

Tiberius Arms T9 ST Rifles

Tiberius Arms has released the newest version of their famed T9 paintball marker. This gun promises to be one of the hottest sniper paintball guns to date. BT Paintball TM-7

The buzz in the air regarding many of the new products to come from BT Paintball. Most of the talk is about the new BT Designs TM-7 paintball marker. Built on Mini technology, this gun is promising to take woodsball and scenario paintball to new heights. It's coolness is undeniable. And with an electronic trigger, collapsible stock, adjustable front grip and hose free operation, the features equal its awesome looks. Only a few lucky 'ballers have gotten to try out this marker at the recent 2008 D-Day event where it made it's official debut.

Due for an August release from BT, we're already on the list to get the TM7 paintball gun in stock at a price around $399. So look for ROCKSTAR Tactical to have them in first!

Update: TechT Paintball Squishy Paddles

TechT Paintball released the lastest version of their original soft Squishy Paddles for the Tippmann Cyclone Feed System. The new version has an interlocking section that holds the two paddles together and prevents slippage. Currently they are bright green in color. At ROCKSTAR, we only ship this version. So if you purchase the Paddles or one of our TechT 4-Piece Cyclone Upgrade Kits, you'll get the correct ones. If you plan on buying elsewhere, make sure you check that the dealer is shipping the most current version.

BT Paintball M-8 and M-12 Grenades

New products are always hitting ROCKSTAR Tactical. Lately, we received our first order of BT Series Paintball Grenades. We're very eager to try these babies out. Available in both M-8 (8oz) and M-12 (12oz), they are the first to use the RPS paint fill. RPS makes some of the best non-toxic, high markable paint in the industry. Unlike other grenades that use a watered-down version of regular paintball paint, these grenades have a version of 'Evil' fill making the mark highly visible. Early reports and videos show a very aggressive spin. Like BT says, "why take out one player when you can take out and entire team." Fill is high-vis yellow!
